Brief History

Early Life
Vijkta hails from Eruyt, and for the first of her lifetimes there was no veering off the path for her. She was trained to defend the village she came from, with an equal focus on self-preservation. Only a fool gives their life up when there are other options- even when the chances look grim.
She learned to stay strong & vigilant, in defense of herself, her life, her like and her ever-burning hope.

Diversion
One might wonder how long it takes for a Viera to get fed up with the status quo.
For some the answer is never, and for Vijkta the answer is about 100 years.
She made the decision to leave the village in pursuit of the great outside; in pursuit in more knowledge, and in pursuit of stopping the threats from ever reaching the forests in the first place.
When she did, she was immediately exiled; never permitted to return. She took up residence in Dalmasca, in lowtown to be specific - It was not an easy thing to adjust to, and one could argue that she never really did.

The Resistance
When talk of Dalmasca standing up to it's "benevolent rulers"; the Garlean Empire, Vijkta was sought out by a couple of representatives of the Resistance what had heard of her accomplishments in Lowtown- namely the fights she'd won, both in and outside of properly organized terms. To them she said that she would consider it for a while and get back to them. It took her several years - about fourteen of them, to come up with her answer. By which time the original recruiters appeared to have aged some; and had taken upon them to guide a charge from child to adult.

Her time in Lowtown had given her plenty of insight as to which foreigners were the real threat to her village - but change for her at the time was a slow one, not wanting to waste away this new opportunity to learn more right away.

She is of the firm belief to this day that the Empire must be stopped, and that if everything fails, her village will be forsaken. She does not intend to lead a life as a lucky survivor.

Defiance
From the worst of circumstances came an opportunity for Vijkta to do more. She defied everything her village had ever told her, bringing a stranger to a home she did not have to save his life. It would spawn rumors of Vijkta verbally challenging the Chieftess for enough consequetive hours, that her friend was mended in the meantime and became fit to travel shortly after she was told to get lost; for the second time in her life.

From that point on, everything truly changed. Bond were forged; fights were had, and tough choices gave way to yet more of the same. Loss upon loss left scars on her soul. After several years, Vijkta has now made it to Eorzea to reunite with the remaining part of her resistance cell.

Vijkta is my only character stationed on Zalera

I have roleplayed primarily in MMORPG's for ~10 years. I try to match writing styles with those I RP with, however please note that English is not my native language. I will likely not ever be one to consistently write in the para-style.

I'm always open for new connections.
I have a strong preference for lore-adherence, but I don't mind subtle bending & filling in the gaps.
I participate in mature, dark and violent RP with context and consent.

I do not want to be involved in OOC drama.
I don't ERP without proper context.
I do not script romantic relationships ahead of RP.
I reserve the right to walk away if you metagame, powergame or bleed between IC/OOC.
I believe that OOC communication is essential for good RP.
